Ex Catalogue Wholesale And Trade Supplier Resources

May 31st, 2010 No comments

In this post I am going to write down a list of resources for ex catalogue wholesale, drop shippers trade suppliers and eBay alternatives which I use personally and have done for many years, they have all helped in keeping my business going strong even through the hard time’s we are going through now. All of the companies I write about on this blog I use on a daily basis.

I will start with wholesale directories, although I will keep this brief because I have already gone into detail about this subject in my first post.

UK wholesale directory www.wholesalepages.co.uk I use this directory on a regular basis to source ex catalogue wholesale products and suppliers.

USA wholesale directory www.worldwidebrands.com I highly recommend this site, and I would personally say it has to be the best on the Internet, but not everyone can afford the membership fee’s, but you do have to pay for quality and this site is certainly full of that. If you really want to succeed in this business this company has everything you will ever need to help you achieve your goals.

USA wholesale directory 2 www.salehoo.com I can recommend this site as an alternative to worldwide brands, the membership fee’s are allot lower, and you can find all the suppliers you need, I am still a member of this site, but don’t use it as often as WWB but if you live in America it is ideal.

China supplier www.chinavasion.com I use this site to sale a vast amount of gadgets and electrical equipment on two of my drop shipping websites, I have never been let down with any orders and they have a very helpful customer service team who will help you in all matters, you will find allot of eBay power sellers using this company.

eBay alternatives

Well to be honest with you there are not many auction site’s that can compete with them at the moment, but this is changing due to peoples lack of respect for eBay these days, this is down to there ever increasing price’s which are forcing sellers to put there prices up, so in return there are less bargains to be found there. Plus since the new CEO took over there have been some devastating dramatic changes in policies which has forced sellers to search elsewhere to take there business, me included.

Alternative auction site www.cqout.com has been slowly building a great reputation as an alternative to eBay, the fee’s are considerably lower than other site’s, and they have thousands of new members joining everyday, there are plenty of buyers available looking for bargains they can no longer find on eBay. This auction site is a very strong contender to eBay.

Another alternative would be
www.ebid.net
again this is another rapidly growing auction site with new members joining everyday, about a year ago I was told there was not enough buyers for this site, but it would seem that has all changed now due to eBay members looking elsewhere to find there bargains. Plus the fee’s are so reasonable.

And last but not least www.amazon.com there is not allot I can say about this site that you don’t already know, the one thing I will say is the fee’s could be lower, but there not as expensive as eBay.

Wholesale Suppliers How To Find Them

May 31st, 2010 No comments

In my last post I recommended two honest and reliable wholesale directories for you to try, after receiving quite a few emails from people who could not afford to join a directory, I will now add a couple ways to find ex catalogue wholesale suppliers by doing research. But before I do I should point out that if your not in the position to pay for a directory, you should really be thinking about using drop ship companies before even considering wholesale suppliers.

The reason being with a trade supplier you will have to buy in bulk, and this will usually cost in the hundreds, but with a reliable drop shipper you only pay for the item once you have managed to sale it yourself at your preferred markup, therefore you collect payment from your customer and then pay the drop shipper who then ships the product to your customer.

First and foremost you MUST buy directly from a legitimate ex catalogue wholesale supplier or trade supplier, there are scammers out there who will act as the middle man and fool you into believing they are the actual supplier, this means you will never buy your items at the true wholesale value and your competitors will always beat you on price. To avoid this happening do your research on your chosen supplier.

Another thing to bear in mind is some of these scammers masquerading as suppliers will charge you a monthly fee, real wholesale suppliers will never do this.

One of the best ways I have found to find out if a supplier is genuine is to join a wholesale forum, just type that exact phrase into google and it will bring up a list of forums for you, join which ever one you like and start posting threads about the supplier you have found, and you should receive allot of replies confirming if they are genuine or not.

You can also find some very good information on suppliers in these forums, if you after a particular product just post a new thread asking people if they know any reliable companies dealing in this item, you will be surprised at the amount of information you get back, I personaly use www.thewholesaleforums.co.uk

Another way to find ex catalogue wholesale suppliers is to type B2B companies into google and start going through each company until you find what your looking for, this method can yield some great leads but it does involve allot of research.

You can also type in Trade Magazines into your search engine, this will also bring up a list of B2B business’s.

Apart from joining a wholesale directory there is no real quick way to find suppliers, you must do the research to find the real wholesale suppliers your after, and once you have found a supplier you then have to do your research on them to make sure they are genuine, skip this and your business will fail.
